A great summer ahead

After two incredibly intense months following Norway’s reopening, the next few weeks will find me preparing for the upcoming high summer season.

It is a great pleasure to announce that I will be revisiting Troldhaugen — Edvard Grieg’s picturesque home and museum outside Bergen, and one of my favourite venues of all. From 21-26th June I will be performing more than a dozen public lunchtime concerts with music by Grieg, as well as one evening recital (23rd June at 18.00). The latter is curated with a nocturnal, nature-inspired theme, with music by Leoš Janáček, Jean Sibelius and Karol Szymanowski in addition to Grieg.

In July I will be doing solo and chamber music recitals in Tjøme church and at the Grieg in Bergen series — performing together with Ludvig Gudim, Sander Tingstad, Eivind Ringstad and Sverre Barratt-Due, among others. I will also be hosting the annual Havlystkonsertene as Artistic Director, located in the picturesque park at Ramme south-east of Oslo.

More exciting news to follow!

All best,
Thormod
